Sefer Noam Megadim VeKvod HaTorah, Chassidic work on the Torah, by Rabbi Eliezer Haevi Ish Horwitz of Tornigrad, a Tzaddik of the third generation of Chassidut, a disciple of the Maggid of Zlotchov, Rabbi Elimelech of Lizhensk, Rabbi Meshulam Feivish of Zhbarizh, the Chozeh of Lublin and the Maggid of Kozhnitz.

First edition Lemberg, 1807. Two sections in a single volume: Originally, [4], 102; 76, [2] leaves. In this copy: 3-102; 74 leaves. Stepansky Chassidut No. 382.

This book is considered a fundamental work of Chassidut. It had many editions and to this day is studied by Tzaddikim and Chassidim. The book contains many approbations by leading Chassidic rabbis including the Maggid of Kozhnitz, the Cozeh of Lublin and more, praising the author.

Ancient worn binding. Leather spine. Stains. Some cut headlines (in the printing?). Good overall condition.

On the flyleaf, a blurred sephardic notation with the stamp:
"הצב"י אברהם בא"א יעקב פינטו" (Hazvi Avraham ben A. Yaakov Pinto) in Hebrew and a foreign language. There were several Rabbis with this name, of the famed Pinto family, and we were unable to identify for certain who of them was the owner of this copy.

In addition, inside the book, a pencil comment and one with pen in ancient – Ashkenazic script.

On leaf 72, an ancient stamp: "חותם בהמ"ד בית אברהם אשר לה’ משכנות ישראל פעה"ק ת"ו".
