Levush Hatchelet and Levush Hachur, on Orach Chaim, the first of the large work by the Gaon Rabbi Mordechai Yoffe on Arba’ah Turim. The author, who lived in the 15th century, titled them after the verse at the end of Megillat Ester: "ומרדכי יצא מלפני המלך בלבוש מלכות תכלת וחור ועטרת זהב גדולה ותכריך בוץ וארגמן והעיר שושן צהלה ושמחה". Each section of his work was titled after one of the Levushim of Mordechai Hayehudi. To this day, the work is accepted as one of the major sources of Halachic Psikah and its author is known as Baal Halevushim.

An important edition that was approbated by leading contemporary Chassidic rabbis: Rabbi Yisroel of Pikov, the son of Rabbi Levi Yitzchak of Berditchev, the Ohev Yisrael of Apta – from the time he lived in Mezhibuzh, Rabbi Menachem Nachum of Chernobyl, Rabbi Avraham Dov Ber of Chmelnik, Rabbi Yosef ben Rabbi Moshe of Konstantin Yashan, Rabbi Yitzchak Isaac Sokelivke "and now in Berditchev" and more.

Title pages with red lettering. A large part of it on bluish paper. New binding. Stains. Many moth perforations and moth damage. Blemishes to edges. The second leaf is torn in its upper part. Fair overall condition. 

On the back flyleaf, a notation in fine square script: "הלבוש הזה שייך להנגיד ר’ זעליג משה נ"י דווידשאהן חונה פה ק"ק טשעסניק = יום ג’ ך שבט תר"ט לפ"ק….".
