Lot 167:
"ומקרב את הרחוקים באהבת ישראל התקוע בלבו" Letter handwritten entirely and signed by Rabbi Yisrael Halevi Jungreis Av Beit Din of Nadudvar and the grandson of the author of the Menuchat Asher, about the refugees from Galicia in World War I, addressed to Rabbi Chaim Brody the Rav of Prague – Holeshov, 1915.
In his letter, Rabbeinu describes the suffering of the refugees from Galicia, who were forced to leaves their homes with the outbreak of World War I
"היות ישנם פה כמה משפחות מגולי גאליציען בעו"ה אשר זה כמה חדשים מעת בואם הנה.. בלא משען ומשענה… והמה בעו"ה בתכלית הלחץ".
Later in his letter, Rabbeinu writes to Rabbi Brody that he had sent a special emissary to him to present their state to him "בפרט הד"ג נ"י נוטל חלק בראש מתחסד עם כל א’ וא’ ומקרב את הרחוקים באהבת ישראל התקוע בלבבו הטוב".
The letter refers to refugees from Galicia who were staying with Rabbeinu: "משה קאראל מקראקא", "יוסף באקאן", זימל שניטצער", "זעליג גראס" and more.

The Gaon Rabbi Yisrael Halevi Jungreis (1882-1944) the son of Rabbi Avraham Halevi Jungreis Av Beit Din of Tshenger and the grandson of the holy Rav Rabbi Asher Anshil Jungreis, the author of the Menuchat Asher. Rabbeinu served as Rav in Boskovich, Holeshov and eventually in Nadudvar, where his in-law lived. Perished in the Holocaust with many of his family members.
