Sefer Korban Aharon on the Sifra by Rabbi Aharon ibn Chaim, one of the leading Sephardic sages of the 16th century. The Press of Rabbi Eliyahu ben Moshe of Dessau – second edition, Dessau, 1742. [2], 20; 260 leaves. In the Rare Book Collection of the National Library.
At the beginning of the book, an additional work by the author titled Midot Aharon on the Brayta Derabbi Yishmael. The book contains approbations by the rabbis of Amsterdam, Furth, Berlin and more.
The book was published by Rabbi Eliyahu ben Moshe of Dessau, a descendant of the Gaon the Rema Baal Hamapah. Not to be confused with Moshe Dessau the Maskil, who passed away many years after the publishing of this edition.
Ancient, finely embossed leather-covered wooden binding. Stains. Tears and moth damage mainly to the first leaves. Fair-good overall condition.
On the flyleaf, an ancient Ashkenazic notation with the name "צבי הירש בן ר’ תנחום". On verso of the leaf, an additional notation with the name, this time, with the title "מו"צ דק"ק אוטייאן הסמוך לק"ק ווילקאמיר".
