Lot 15:
Sefer Netzach Yisrael, a work on the Sugyot of the Shas Bavli and Yerushalmi, Tosfot, Rambam and more. By the Gaon Rabbi Yisrael ben Rabbi Moshe Segal of Zamusht. First Edition – Frankfurt an der Oder 1741. [1], 58, [1] leaves. Approbations by the rabbis of Lviv and Zamusht.
New binding. Stains and wear. Taping to title page. Some moth perforations and damage. Lacks and folds to the edges of a gathering of leaves. Fair overall condition.
On the title page, two ownership signatures: "הקטן משה אורליכט". On the title page and back page, a signature: "משה יוסף עדלשטיין בויאלא". On the first leaf, a signature: "שלום צבי ב"ר מרדכי יהודא ז"ל מלאדז’". Additional signatures on the title page are partly cut or have not been thoroughly studied.
On leaf 2a, a lengthy and significant gloss about the author’s introduction, with square and curly script. Its content indicates its writer was knowledgeable in Chassidut: "…כי התורה מתלבשת בלבושין גשמיי… דבריהם דברי אש וכל המעשיות וכל אגדתות כולם סודי סודות רזין דאורייתא…". In addition, a handwritten correction on leaf 31a. We did not manage to identify the writer of these glosses.
