Lot 67:
Volume with Chabadic Mamarei Chassidut by Rabbi Shneur Zalman of Liadi and Rabbi Dober, the Mitteler Rebbe. At its beginning, a framed title page, on which it was written: "זה הכתבים מכבוד אדונינו ורבינו הרב הגאון הגדול החסיד הקדוש והטהור אספקלריא המאירה אי"א [איש אלוקים] קדוש יאמר לו מה’ שניאור זלמן זצ"ל נבג"מ ומהם יש מכבוד אדונינו ורבינו הרב הגאון הגדול הקדוש וטהור החסיד אי"א קדוש יאמר לו מה’ דובער שיחי’ באדמו"ר [בן האדמו"ר] הנ"ל". This notation indicates that this lovely volume of writings was written in the lifetime of the Mitteler Rebbe. Later, on one of the Mmarim it was written: "שנת תקע"ה שמעתי בעצמי" (I myself heard in 1815).
The owner (apparently not the writer) of the writings is also indicated by the title page: "שייך להרבני… מ"ה יהודא במ"ה יצחק כץ משומייאץ". Later, in different script, the writer apparently wrote for someone else in 1829.
The contents of the Mamarim (see Hebrew catalog text for a list as they appear in the volume) were written by us, compared to if and where they appear in Rabboteinu’s books. We found some textual variations, which are also noted.
In addition, there are additional leaves in different scripts (have not been studied). Please refer to Hebrew catalog text for a list.
164 written pages. 22 cm. (some smaller leaves at the end). By several writers whose identity was not studied. A tear to one of the leaves, apparently not affecting the text. Stains and some aging damage. A large part was written on blue paper. New binding. Very good overall condition – rare for such a manuscript.
