Sefer Toldot Amudei HaChabad – biographies of Rabbeinu HaZaken, his disciples, sons, and his family until the book’s publication, edited by Michael Levi Rodkinson – Konigsberg, 1876.

One of the first biographies of the Admor HaZaken and Chabad Chassidus, including a great amount of primary content on the Admor HaZaken, his disciples and family. The book includes the dispute with the Misnagdim and
letters by the Admor HaZaken and his son on the Napoleonic Wars.

The author, Michael Halevi Frumkin, the grandson of Rabbi Aharon of Streshle, changed his name to Rodkinson after his mother, Rodka. Was the publisher of the Hakol and Hasanegor newspapers as well as many research books.
