Fine Manuscript: Sefer Hayashar - North Africa, the 18th Century

The auction will start in __ days and __ hours

Start price: $300

Buyer's premium:

Manuscript, copying of the basic Mussar book Sefer Hayashar, an important work attributed to Rabbeni Tam Baal Hatosafot, apparently attributed to him by mistake and not authored by him but by Rabbi Zerachya the Greek.

Fine uniform script and orderly layout, apparently done by a calligraphic scribe. Chatzi Kolmus script, typical North African style of the mid-18th century.

Fine wide margins. 11.5X18 cm. Moth perforations and damage. Stains. One sheet is mostly detached. No binding. In one gathering, the script has faded with time. In most of the leaves, the script is readable.
