Lot 70:
Color lithographic banknote – receipt of the face value of $1, issued by Keren HaTorah of Agudat Yisrael of Vienna, to donors supporting the Yeshiva World. Vienna, [1925].
On the obverse of the note, a copying of the signatures of the Chofetz Chaim, the Imrei Emes of Ger and Rabbi Yisrael Friedman of Chortkov. On the reverse, an illustration of Torah learners with the inscription "בא ואראך תלמידי חכמים שעוסקין בתורה מתוך הדחק", and a Yiddish, German, English and French version. The note was illustrated by the famed illustrator Uriel Birenbaum.
