Printed booklet – Seder Hazkarat Neshamot with the version of Yizkor for the souls of the sacred who sacrificed their lives on Kdushat Hashem [Russian version of the title page: Чинъ ПОМИНОВЕНІЯ УСОПШИхъ съ русскимъ переводомъ Э. П. Пасса и Н. У. Пирожникова]. ОДЕССА [Odessa], 1906. Hebrew and Russian on facing pages.
Background: shortly before the booklet was published, a horrific pogrom occurred in Odessa. More than 800 Jews were killed and approx. a thousand were injured, leading to many Jews leaving the town. This thin and rare booklet was published several months after the Pogrom – Seder Hazkarat Neshamot for the relatives of the victims. Since many did not know Hebrew, the booklet included a Russian translation.
The booklet is not listed in the Bibliography of the Hebrew Book and is not in the National Library. It is also not listed in Worldcat. We do not know of an additional copy and to the best of our knowledge, this is the only one in the world!

Fair-good condition. Detached. Small tears and taping to the first leaves. Stains. No binding.
