Two works by the Gaon Rabbi Yaakov Yokev Ettlinger Av Beit Din of Altona, author of the famed work Aruch Laner.
1. Sefer Minchat Ani on the Torah, “in which are gathered drushim and elucidations from verses of the Bible, Aggadot and Midrashim”. First edition – Altona, 1873. [2], 141 leaves. The version of the title page indicates the author was alive when the book was published; however, his son’s foreword indicates that it was published after his passing in Kislev 1872.
Stains. Some moth perforations. Partly fragile paper. Almost detached title page. Moth damage to the flyleaves. Fair-good overall condition.
2. Aruch laner on Masechet Nidah. Important work after which its author became known as the Aruch Laner. First edition and in the author’s lifetime – Altona, 1864. 98 leaves.
Bound with Sefer Ya’ir Kino, with two elucidations on Masechet Kinim (around the text). Si’ach Hasadeh – copy from the elucidation by the Rosh, proofread and elucidated. Lekach Tov – extended elucidation on the Masechet. By the Gaon Rabbi Menachem Eliezer Ginshtling of Vilna. First edition – Vilna, 1861. [2], 37 leaves/ Following the title page, a Bill of Sale of the printing rights to Rabbi Yosef Reuven Rom by the author’s son Rabbi Levi David Gintshling.
