Buyer's premium:

Two sections of the Ein Hasofer Chumash by the Raveh. Its purpose was to assist the scribe in writing a Sefer Torah. Each page contains 21 lines so that every pair of pages matches a complete sheet of a Sefer Torah. The layout itself is of course with Vavei HaAmudim. On the sides of the pages, important comments for the scribe. At the end of each Chumash,   "אותיות רבתי ואותיות זעירי ואותיות הנקודות".

First edition – the press of the Gaon and linguist Rabbi Wolf ben Rabbi Shimshon Heidenheim, the Raveh in Rodelheim. This Chumash is the first of four types of Chumashim printed by the Raveh in that year: Muda labinah, Meor Enayim and Torat Moshe. The biblical text is identical in all Chumashim yet their layout is different since each contains a different commentary.

Sefer Vayikra: 1819. [1], 119-159; 24; 80 leaves.

Sefer Bamidbar: 1820. [1], 159-215, [2]; 16; 50 leaves. Elegant edition, larger format on hard paper with fine wide margins and gilt edges.

In each Chumash, a separate title page for the Haftarot and after them, the Sabbath prayers. From leaf 41, Piyyutim for Brit Milah and special Sabbaths – two different versions were published, a German one and a Polish one. Most copies contain the German version, as does this copy.

Apparently original bindings with leather spines. The volume of Bamidbar has an elegant, embossed leather binding, well-preserved. Good overall condition.
