Chumash Meor Enayim Bereshit with Ein Hakoreh by one of the first linguists known as Yahavi Hanakdan – the Hebrew initials of Yekutiel Zalman Hacohen ben Rabbi Yitzchak. And Ein Hasofer by the Raveh, assisting the scribe in his writing and the reader in his reading.
The press of the Gaon and linguist Rabbi Wolf ben Shimshon Heidenheim, the Raveh. First edition Rodelheim, 1818. XII pp. [1], 87; 24, 4; 58 leaves. Lengthy foreword by the Raveh. An additional title page after the foreword. An additional title page for the Haftarot. At its end, Sabbath prayers.
From leaf 41, Piyyutim for Brit Milah and special Sabbaths – two different versions were published, a German one and a Polish one. Most copies contain the German version. Some copies, like this one, contained the Polish custom and had 4 additional leaves. In this copy, 2 leaves are missing: 54-55.
Original binding, reinforced spine. Minor stains and signs of usage. Good overall condition.
