Sefer Einei HaEidah, section I on Sefer Bereshit, Shemot and Megillat Ester, by Rabbi Eliyahu Hacohen HaItamari, the Author of Shevet Mussar and Midrash Talpiyot – First Edition Izmir, 1863. [2], 164 leaves. Stains. Some moth perforations and other minor blemishes. Original, worn binding. Good overall condition. 

On the title page, the full handwritten signature of the Gaon Rabbi Zvi Hirsch Farber: "צבי הירש במו"ה יהודא ליב פארבער, חופ"ק לונדון". Throughout the book, 9 glosses handwritten by him. 

Rabbi Zvi Hirsch Farber, the Kerem Zvi (1879-1967) was the son of Yehuda Leib of Slabodka. He studied under Rabbi Yitzhak Elchanan in Kovno, Rabbi Yitzchak Blazer, Rabbi Moshe Danishevsky and Rabbi Naftali Amsterdam. He was Rav in Kalikol-the Kovno district, in 1907. Later, he immigrated to England and served as an activist of the Etz Chaim Yeshiva in London, and Ram in the Manchester Yeshiva (led by Rabbi Menachem Dov Danotzky). In 1910 he was appointed Rav of a community in London. He was a founder and chairman of the Union of Rabbis of London. Authored Eshet Chayil and more, as well as many articles in journals of the period.
