Lot 319:
וכי יש בעלנים כעת לשלם כ"כ ביוקר – Letter by Rabbi Naftali Dov Ber Rabinowitz of Broadway, addressed to his relatives in Eretz Yisrael – Broadway, 1932.
At the beginning of his letter, Rabbi Rabinowitz subtly crticizes his relatives: "כל המכתבים אני קורא בעינינו אבל אין לעשות יותר מה שאני עושה" (I read all the letters, but cannot do more than I am doing"). He then discusses varied charity matters and some business offer.
At the end of the letter, rabbeinu asks about the addressee’s son, blessing him with abundant livelihood "השי"ת יזמין לך פרנסתך מידו הרחבה והמלאה".
