Letter Handwritten and Signed by the Gaon Rabbi Yaakov Ben Zion Hacohen Mendelson Rav of the Kollel of Newark, addressed to the Gaon Rabbi Moshe Mordechai Epstein, the Rosh yeshiva of Hebron – Newark, 1931.
The content of the letter: charity, donations and receipts of the Hebron Yeshiva, Rabbi Mendelson being, among others, its Gabai in Newark.

The Gaon Rabbi Yaakov Ben Zion Hacohen Mendelson (1876-1941) Av Beit Din of Leeds, Gateshead, Glasgow and Newark. Was born in Latvia and studied with Rabbi Kopel Margaliot. Due to the situation in Russia, he moved to London, Scotland and then in 1915, to the USA, where he was appointed as Rav of the Kollel of Newark, aposition he held until his passing. Author of many books including Midrash Yavetz and more.
