An appeal to Jewish businessmen not to work on Sabbath by Rabbi Yehuda Leib Graubart, Rav of the Jewish community of Toronto. Toronto, 1922. Yiddish and English. Authentic historical item.
Background: There are many stories about the trials of Jewish immigrants in America. In most cases. non-Jewish employees did not allow Jews to take a day off, which caused them to work on Sabbath too. The phenomenon was so common that the Rav of the community had to appeal to Jews not to work on Sabbath.
Rare booklet. We know of a single scanned copy of HebrewBooks and on it, the listings of the Bibliography of the Hebrew Book and the National Library are based. This is thus one of the single copies in the world!
