Chumash Devarim, Tikkun Sofrim HaChatzer HaChadasha, “It is a Tikkun Sofrim proofread for our language’s grammar…to write and proofread a Sefer Torah…with Rashi’s commentary…and commentary of Rabbi Don Yitzchak Abarbanel and other chiddushim added by … Rabbi Shaul Av Beit Din and Ram of our community…and we titled it HaChatzer HaChadasha…”. The work of the Gaon Rabbi Shaul (Lowenstam), Av Beit Din of Amsterdam, author of the Binyan Ariel.

First and possibly the only edition of this impressive work – Amsterdam, 1768. In the editor’s apology at the end of Sefer Devarim, the year is 1769. [1], 131; 6 leaves. In the National Library and other libraries, the books appears in the Rare Book Collection. 

Healthy paper. Ancient binding, separate and without the back board. Stains and many signs of usage. Good overall condition. 

On the titlep age, a stamp:  "הק’ נתן דוד ראזענבוים" – the Admor of Zutshka (1945-2019) the son of the Admor Rabbi Yitzchak Isaac Rosenbaum, the son of Admor Rabbi Itamar of Nadvorna. The son-in-law of the Admor Rabbi Mordechai Goldman of Zvehil. Was a famed educator who served in varied educational positions in Chassidic institutions in Israel and the USA. His sons the Admorim succeeded him. One of his sons-in-law is the famed Chassidic Mashpi’ah Rabbi Elimelech Biderman Shlita. 


Many notations with the name: "ברוך במו"ה ארי’ ליב הורוויץ מקאפוסט". On the detached flyleaf, a notation: "שלמה זלמן במוהר"ר ברוך הורוויץ מקאפוסט".
