Sefer She’iltot DeRav Achaai Gaon with the She’ilat Shalom commentary and Hagahot Rishon LeZion by the Gaon Rabbi Yeshaya Berlin. "With the new Rakach Mordechai commentary" by Rabbi Elazar Mordechai Kenig of Jerusalem. 

First edition of this commentary – Jerusalem, 1940. 3 sections according to Chumshei Torah with separate title pages. Approbations for the commentary by the Geonim: the Chief Rabbis Rabbi Herzog and the Rishon LeZion Rabbi Meir Chai Uziel, Rabbi Yaakov Moshe harlap, Rabbi Isser Zalman Meltzer and Rabbi Yitzchak Yaakov Vachtfoigel. 

Detached binding. The first title page is detached. Moth damage, mainly to the margins. Has not been studied thoroughly for missing leaves. Fair-good overall condition. 

Dedication on the first title page: תשורת דרשה לידידי היקר החתן (the letter "ן"  is cut) המו’ כו’ כמר נטע שי’ ווערדיגער מאת ידידך פנחס מנחם"  – handwritten by the great Admor the holy Gaon Rabbi Pinchas Menachem Alter of Ger. He wrote the dedication in his youth to his brother-in-law Rabbi Note Verdiger – both were the sons-in-law of Rabbi Avraham Mordechai Alter, who was the son of the holy Gaon Rabbi Moshe Bezalel Alter, the brother of Maran the Imrei Emes of Ger. 

The dedication was written for his brother-in-law’s engagement of marriage.
