Sefer Viku’ach by Rabbi Yisrael Leibel. Facsimile edition of the first edition (Warsaw, 1798). Limited edition for the students of the Department of Jewish History. Jerusalem, 1965.

At the beginning of the book, copies of letters by the Gaon of Vilna and the Dayanim of Vilna, Monsk and Slutzk against the Chassidim. The book itself contains a dispute between the "תלמודי האמיתי" and "זמרי המכונה בשם חסידים". Allegedly, Rabbi Yisrael wrote the book following a heated argument with the Admor Rabbi Shneur Zalman of Liadi. On leaf 9, Rabbi Yisrael writes disparagingly about leading Admorim – Rabbi Levi Yitzchak of Berditchev, Rabbi Wolf of Zhytomyr, Rabbi Elimelech of Lizhensk, Rabbi Mordechai of Chernobyl, the Maggid of Kozhnitz and more.

The first edition of the book is extremely rare and unattainable. This limited edition is also extremely rare. Each page was written on one side of the leaf (the second page remained blank).

Good-very good condition. Some stains. Small parts of the spine are missing.
