Sefer Magen Shaul, novellae on the tractates of the Shas by the Gaon Rabbi Shaul Yechezkel Greenfeld, known as Rabbi Shaul Litshiker. Second edition with important additions – Vranov, 1937. [4], 69 leaves, 6 pp. There is no copy or listing to compare to (see below); apparently, a complete copy. 

Approbations by the Geonim and Admorim: the Divrei Chaim of Sanz, Rabbi Zvi Hirsch of Liska, the Chatam Sofer, Rabbi Chaim Zvi Hirsch Manheimer, the Yismach Moshe of Ohel and more. In addition, a letter by the holy Rav Rabbi Zvi Hirsch of Rimnov. It is also noted that the holy Rav Rabbi Isaac of Komarnbo bought a copy. 

At its end, a list of subscribers with names of many dignitaries who donated money for the printing of the book, including famed Admorim and rabbis. Apperaing under Grosswardein: "הרב הצדיק בנש"ק הרב מווילחאוויץ בן הצדיק מוויזניצא" referring to the Imrei Chaim, the son of the Ahavat Yisrael of Vizhnitz. 

This item does not appear in the Bibliography of the Hebrew Book and is not in the National Library; it has also not been seen in auctions! 

No binding. Moth perforations and damage. At its end, blemished leaves. Fair overall condition.
