Collection of three volumes of Chumashim – Shemot, Vayikra and Bamidbar, with Rashi’s commentary, Siftei Chachamim, Baal Haturim and Shem Ephraim by Rabbi Ephraim Zalman Margaliot. Balavan and Chaya Tova Press, [Lemberg], [1844]. On the title pages: "1840". Extremely rare edition. In the Bibliography of the Hebrw Book, only the section of Vayikra is listed. In the National Library, there are several volumes that were printed in adjacent years yet not a single volume is identical to thsi edition.

The three volumes are bound in ancient leather bindings (matching) with gilt embossments.
[3] volumes. approx. 25 cm.
Good overall condition. Signs of usage. Some moth perforationsto some leaves. Ancient leathert bindings, with worn and blemished edges. The spines of two voluems are reinforced with tape. One volume is detached from the binding.
