These works were published and passed between the yeshivas of Tășnad, Sacueni, Székelyhíd and possibly, Papa. The places of printing appearing in the works might be incorrect; possibly, they were copied and printed several times according to the demands of each specific yeshiva.
All were printed by Shabta Kahn, some during the years of the war. All are complete with their title page. Rare works.
Please refer to Hebrew catalog text for the list of works.
Minor stains. Good overall condition.
On the title pages, stamps of "חברה קנין ספרים דבחורים דק"ק נירמאדא", and a foreign stamp of "GRUNFELD IZIDOR…"
The city of Tășnad had an Av Beit Din and Ram who was one of the leading rabbis of Hungary, the holy Gaon Rabbi Mordechai Brisk, who established a large yeshiva in the city with thousands of students. Ironically, with the annexation of Transylvania at the onset of World War II, the Tășnad Yeshiva became the largest yeshiva in Hungary. It remained active until the destruction of Hungarian Jewry in 1944. This booklet was published by the yeshiva for its many students, containing the words of the Rishonim and famed Poskim on the Sugya.
It is touching to see the devotion of the Jews to their Torah, even when being persecuted and murdered.
