Volume containing two books by contemporary Geonim: 

1. Shut Arugat Habosem, on Shulchan Aruch Yoreh Deah, section I, by Rabbi Mishe ben Rabbi Amram Greenwald of Chust who was known as the Arugat Habosem after this book. 

First ediiton published by his son Rabbi Yekutiel Yehuda Greenwald Av Beit Din of Ungvar. The press of the Rabbinic Naggid Shlomo Halevi Heimlich, Shamloy, the Gematria appearing on the title page indicates the Hebrew year of 1926; whereas the foreign year is 1927, which is, of course, impossible. [4], 121, [5] leaves. Title page with red lettering. 

2. Sefer Shut Maharash, section V on the four parts of the Shulchan Aruch by the Gaon Rabbi Shmuel Engel Av Beit Din of Bilgoray – Radomishal – Kashoy. 

First edition published by his son-in-law Rabbi david Halperin Av beit Din of Dobtshitz, Varanov, 1936. 7, [1], 204, [1]  pp. 

Bound together. Loose fabric spine. Minro stains. Good condition. 

On the title pages, stamps: "שרגא שמואל שניטצלער אב"ד דקה"י בעקעשטשאבא והגליל יצ"ו" and identical foreign stamps – the wonder worker Rabbi Sheraga Shmuel Schnitzler Av Beit Din of Tashaba (1889-1980) the son of Rabbi Baruch Yehuda, a descendant of the holy Gaon Rabbi Shmelke of Nikolsburg. Was a Chassidic Rav of several villages and towns in Hungary. Was a famed wonder-worker. Was a disciple of Rabbi Menachem Brody of Kaliv and Rabbi Yehuda Greenwald of Satmar and a leading Chassid of the Maharid of Belz and his son the Admor Rabbi Aharon, He merited being buried near Rabbi Aharon’s gravesite. Was Rav of Tshaba (Békéscsaba, Hungary). After World War II, immigrated to Jerusalem, where by the advice of his holy Rav of Belz, he refused a position of Rav and where he passed away in 1980. After his passing, his Divrei Torah were published by his grandson and successor Rabbi Meshulam Shalom Weinberg in the book Birkot Shmuel. His father-in-law (by his second marriage) was the Admor Rabbi Eliezer Zussia of Skolen. His descendants are important Chareidi Admorim, Rabbis and dignitaries in Israel and abroad.
