Lot 194:
Printed Kuntres with speciqal content: Yoman Choleh asher Lev Ein Lo ( Diary of a Patient who has No Heart) by the Gaon Rabbi Binyamoin Trechtman, the son-in-law of the Gaon Rabbi Yosef Gershon Horowitz the Rosh Yeshiva of M<eah Sheraim who, for thirty years, served as Av Beit Din of St. Louis. [Bnei Berak? after 1961]. Single and extrenely rare edition.
This Kuntres contains Rabbi Binyamin’s memoires, from the time he became sick during his studies at the Ponovezh Kollel, through his hospitalization and up to his final release and recovery. It is touching to se a Jewish Talmid Chacham whose life is in danger yet his mind is preoccupie with Halachic Sugyot and Emunah matters!!!
The Kuntres is extremely rare. To the best of our knowledge, except for this copy, no other copy was seen in auctions. Possibly due to its scarceness, therwe is confusion as to the details of its printing: the details in the Bibliography of the Herbrew Book are "[Bnei Berak?, 1960?]" whereas in the National Library, "[Jerualem? ca. 1960]". Since the author immigrated to Israel in 1961 and we know the booklet was published in his lifetime, it can clearly be stated that the booklet was published during the years 1961 to 1969, the year of his passing.
16 pp. (only 9 pages are listed by the National LIbrary, apparently by mistake). 22.5 cm. Good condition. Some stains. Some partly detahced leaves. No binding.
Please refer to Hebrewe catalog text for a brief biography of Rabbi Binyamin ben Rabbi Moshe Trechtman.
