Sefer Yeshu’ah Lachaim (or Ezra Lachaim), a wok containing sharp Mamrei Mussar translated into Yiddish too, by Rabbi Chaim Yeshaya Gordon of Shovil, a disciple of the founder of the Mussar Movement Rabbi Yisrael of Salant. First and apparently also single edition – Vilna, 1908. 4 pp. [1] leaf, 72, [1] pp. 

An introduction by him introducing facts by his great Rav and explaining the virtue of the Mussar Movement and praising the blessed initiative of establishing a Mussar society: "והבנתי מכל ספרי היראה אשר זכיתי ללמוד שאין דבר טוב ומועיל לזכות את הרבים כמו בחבורת אנשי מעמד… למען יפריש אדם עצמו יום אחד בחודש מטרדתו לעסוק בתורה ועבודה ולהתבונן בעניני אחריתו…". Later he writes that in his city of Shovil, he founded such a society which was titled Avodah Tamah.
