Lot 19:
Sefer Keset Hasofer, two sections. An important and basic work on Hilchot Stam by the great Gaon Rabbi Shlomo Ganzfried, the author of the famed work Kitzur Shulchan Aruch. In his approbation for this work (given to the first edition), Rabbeinu the Chatam Sofer writes that a scribe should not be licensed unless he is knowledgeable of this book, adding: "ע"כ אני פוקד ומצוה לכל מי שמחויב לשמוע לקולי שיחזיק במעוז הנ"ל וספר הלז כולו מחמדים…".
Mahadura Tanina with important additions, which was published in the author’s Lifetime – Ungvar, 1871. [4], 138 leaves. Separate title page for the second section. Added to this edition are approbations by the Divrei Chaim of Sanz, Rabbi Chaim Zvi Hirsch Manheimer and Rabbi Yosef Shaul Nathanson, who wrote two leaves of comments that do not appear, of course, in the first edition.
Stable binding. Professional taping to the first title page and some leaves. Changes of color in a single sheet. Minor stains. Good overall condition.
