Lot 15:
Mishneh Torah LeHaRambam: "Mada, Ahava, Zemanim of Seder Kedusha … and indices of the books…". Printed by the physician Rabbi Eliezer Shlomo of Italy in Mantova. Based on the title page, the year of printing is 1879; based on the colophon, however, it is 1780. 207 leaves. In the National Library, the book appears in the Rare Book Collection.
Special edition for teenagers!
On the last leaf: "And we have avoided printing in this book Hilchot Machalot Asurim and Hilchot Shechita since they are too deep for boys". For the same reason, Hilchot Kiddush Hachodesh were also omitted, as stated on leaf 197b before Hilchot Ta’anit. There are two variants of the title page, see: Yehuda Avida, Sefer Mishneh Torah as a Textbook, Areshet, III, 1961, pp. 45-47, no. 7.
Detached title page with a perforation in its center. Worn binding. Minor stains. Good overall condition.
On the first leaf: "לה"ו קנין כספי אני משה סוראני בר שמואל יצ"ו מאיטליאנו/מזישיליאנו (?) יע"א".
