Sefer Ketz Hapla’ot, a touching work "to encourage our brothers… to pray for redemption and repent… based on the words of the holy Zohar, the ancient and the Kabbalists" by the Gaon Rabbi Chaim Yeshaya Hacohen Halbersberg, author of Misgeret Hashulchan and more.
The work contains two commentaries: Birkat Yeshu’ah on Zmanei Haketz and Derech Chaim on Mistzvot and Tefillot.. In addition, the work introduces several kinds of Segulot, which are easy to do and by doing them, Hashem Yitbarach will protect us from all evil and we shall merit lengthy lives in good health, livelihood and success…"
First edition – Lublin, 1905. 26, [2] leaves. Leaves 17-25: Shir Hashirim with Derech Chaim and Birkat Yeshu’ah. The two last leaves contain: "Likutim about the sanctity of Eretz Yisrael and Jerusalem". These leaves are rare and do not appear in the varied bibliographic listings.

Rabbi Akiva Yosef Schlesinger (1838-1922) the son of Rabbi Yechiel, a disciple of the Chatam Sofer. He was active in encouraging the building of the Land of Israel and he encouraged the purchase of land for building and agriculture. He was a disciple of the Ketav Sofer, the Maharam Schik, and the Machaneh Chayim. He was the son-in-law of Rabbi Hillel Lichtenstein of Kolomyia, the Maskil El Dal. Like his father-in-law, he attacked modern Orthodoxy in Hungary, and his well-known book, Lev HaIvri, is on this subject. Author of Brit Olam – Ein HaDa’at against the Enlightenment Movement.
