First edition – Izmir, 1868. [2], 24l 11, 11-43, 45-75, 77-86; 28 leaves. Approbation by Rabbi Chaim Palachi and the rabbis of Kushta, Rabbi Yaakov Avigdor and Rabbi Nissim Yaakov David. 

Front board with corrosion. Taping to the title page and additional leaves. Good overall condition. 

On the title page, a dedication in Sephardic script – handwritten and signed by the author to Rabbi Yosef Raphael Uziel. 

Rabbi Raphael Chaim Menachem Franji (1833-1903) the son of Rabbi Nissim Shlomo. Served as the Chief Rabbi of Istanbul (Kushta), Turkey. In addition to this book, authored the Mateh Lechem on Even HaEzer. 

The receiver of the dedication, Rabbi Yosef Raphael Uziel (1829-1894) was a Rosh Yeshiva, Shadar and public figure, one of the founders of the Ohel Moshe neighborhood of Jerusalem, president and leader of the Sephardic community, head of the Shochatim and Av Beit Din of the community. Author of Ish Tza’ir, Drushim.
