Lot 114:
Sefer Yimtza Chaim by Rabbi Chaim Palachi. First edition – Izmir, 1863. (The Hebrew year 5629 appearing on the title page is an error; the real year appears inside th ebook on leaf 88b: 5623). [4], 94 leaves. Apparently, one leaf is missing with blessings to the donord (seemingly printed that way). In the National Library, the book appear sin the Rare Book Collection.
At its end, Tochachat Chaim in Ladino. Omn leaf 92b, the author writes: "ויען שמעו בני עירי… שהדפסתי בקושטא אגרת הזאת מדברי מוסר, בקשו ממני… להדפיסה פה (אזמיר) פעם אחרת… על כן… חזרתי… להדפיסה פעם שנית… בתוספת מרובה". After it, Seder Chanukat Habayit by the Chida with additions by Rabbeinu.
Appearing on the lower part of the title page is the sertial number {17} indicating this is the 17th book of the series of books by Rabbi Chaim Palachi.
Pocket format: 10.5X16.5 cm. No binding. minor stains. Golds to the corners. Good overall condition.
On the top of the title page, a dedication handwritten by the author: ב"ה מנחה היא שלוחה ליד מעלת הגביר החכם המרומם יצ"ו כמה"ר ג’י אהרן פראנקו נר"ו יאיר לעד לעולם אכי"ר. its edge is blemished.
