A handwritten leaf, "Chalukat Shechitah" – a concept that was common amongst the Jews of Yemen by which a group of people purchased an animal and before its slaughter, would divide its parts between them. To prevent later disputes, they used to write down the division (as on this leaf) and only then slaughter the animal.

Dated Nissan 1941. Typical Yemenite script. The leaf consists of three separate folded parts. Size of them together: 36X36 cm.

Stains. Readable script. Open tear not affecting the text. See pictures.
