Rare original cover, worn and detached. Good overall condition.

The importance and uniqueness of this edition: This book is the first Chabadic Machzor that was published in New York and formed the basis for the Machzor for Yamim Nora’im that the Chabad Chassidim use today. This Machzor is based on a photocopy of the Machzor from the famed Meah Shearim Siddur that was printed in Berditchev in 1913 and to which were added by the Rebbe and by the order of the Rayatz, varied additions including Derech Hachaim and Netiv Hachaiצ with additions by Rabbi Avraham David Lavut – the Rebbe’s grandfather, Sha’ar Hakollel on Yamim Noraim – these additions are a photocopy. To these were added new additions that did not appear in previous editions: Seder Slichot and Likutei Minhagim "מנהגי חודש אלול, ר"ה, עשי"ת ויוהכ"פ שיש בהם חידוש (נלקטו מרשימות כ"ק אדמו"ר שליט"א [הריי"צ] ע"י הרב מנחם שניאורסאהן [הרבי]) (original perenthesis).

Rare, uncommon Machzor. Recently, the National Library received another copy of this Machzor; yet, it is without the cover this one has. In the Bibliography of the Hebrew Book, it is listed based on a copy of a private collection of Rabbi Yisrael Yosef Zalmanov.

On verso of the title page, a stamp correcting an error in the text in the middle of the book.
