Lot 1:
Sefer Hatanya by the Admor Hazaken Rabbi Shneur Zalman of Liadi. Rare edition that was printed in Kopust. Originally, [1], 36, 41-44, 41-52, 8, 28, [6] leaves. In this copy: 21-36, 41-44, 41-28 leaves only and without the title page.
The year of printing according to the title page (1814) is incorrect and was copied from the Shklow edition. In the National Library, where the book is in the Rare Book Collection – the year of printing was assumed to be 1820 and onwards. See more: Stefansky Chassidut 631 and Mondshine Sefer Hatanya pp. 68-69; there, a very similar edition is introduced, maybe even this one yet with significant variations in the pagination.
No binding. Stains. Tears to edges. partly fragile paper. Except for the missing leaves, fair-good overall condition.
