Sefer Imrei Shefer, Chassidic divrei Torah on the parshiyot of the Torah, by the Admor Rabbi Shmuel Frankel of Darag – first edition Munkatch, 1888. [2], 44, [4] leaves. The book also contains Hanhagot by Rabbeinu, as well as Shut with the Divrei Chaim, and
a list of many subscribers from Hungary, indicating the reverence felt toward the book and its author. The list includes names of leading dignitaries and rabbis including the Tzaddik Rabbi Yeshaya Steiner of Kerestir.
Detached binding. Detached title page and additional leaves. Stains. Some tears. Some taping. Good overall condition.
The author, Rabbi Shmuel Frankel (1815-1882) was a disciple of the Divrei Chaim of Sanz, who ordered him to accept the rabbinical leadership of Darag, where he became an Admo, with many coming to him for blessings. The Divrei Chaim said of him: הרב מדאראג בכוחו להלביש דבריו ואפילו את תורתו בעשרה לבושים! שיהיו נשמעים לפשוטים, וכח המעצור שלו שלא לגלות מדרגתו הוא להפליא".
On the upper part of the title page. a signature: "יעקב אליעזר גליק…" and foreign stamps of Solomon Kahn/Cohen. Two handwritten signatures: "יוסף לעבאוויטש". All these have not been thoroughly studied.
