Sefer Or Gadol, responsa and writings, section I, letters by the Gaon Rabbi Yerucham Yehuda Leib Perlman, known as the Gadol of Minsk. Edited by his son and disciple Rabbi Eliyahu Perlman with comments and additions, first edition – Vilna, 1924. 170 leaves.
On verso of the title page, an apology by the editor, Rabbi Eliyahu, explaining why the printing of the book was delayed, having begun 8 years previously in Piotrkow. He describes the chain of events since the outbreak of World War I, which prevented the printing of the book in Piotrkow and led to some of the material being lost etc.
Late binding. Wide margins. Some fragile edges. Stains, a tear and taping to the title page. Stains, tears and some loose leaves. Stains. Moth perforations and some moth damage. Good overall condition.
