Lot 220:
Two sections of Arba’ah Turim of a rare and important edition approbated by leading Chassidic rabbis. 3 volumes:
1. Choshen Mishpat, section I, printed in Mezhibuzh. Variant: the title page is of a previous edition that was printed in Polonne in 1811 with a single variation, the word "Mezhibuzh" was printed instead of "Polonne" – Mezhibuzh, 1818. Mispagination – has not been studied to see whether leaves are missing. A rare book that is not in the National Library.
Appearing in this volume is an approbation by Rabbi Levi Yitzchak of Berditchev alongside an approbation by Rabbi Avraham Dov of Polonne-Chmelnik, the son-in-law of the Todlot Yaakov Yosef and by Rabbi Meir of Brod and Rabbi Ephraim Zalman Margaliot of Brod.
2. Choshen Mishpat, section II – Mezhibuz, 1822. [1], 98, 159 leaves. Variant: this copy was re-edited and has a different pagination compared to other copies.
3. Even HaEzer – Mezhibuzh, 1821. [1], 139 leaves.
Moth damage and varied blemishes. Condition vary: good-poor.
Varied notations on the leaves: "שייך לתפארת בחורים" and more – have not been studied.
