A typical copy from Sadigure, indicating the famed Sanz-Sadigura controversy, with Rabbeinu the Divrei Chaim’s name being erased from the approbations and pierced by someone.

The Admor Rabbi Yitzchak Mordechai Shapira of Gvoditz (Gwoździec) (1867-1930) the son of the Admor Rabbi Aviezri Zelig Shapira (the son of Rabbi Chaim Meir Yechiel of Moglanitza) and son-in-law of the Admor Rabbi Yisrael, the Or Yisrael of Sadigura. Served as Admor in Gvoditz, Galicia, while his brother Rabbi Chaim Meir Yechiel served as Admor in Drohobych. During World War I, he escaped to Vienna with the Admorim of Ruzhin and remained there until his passing and there he was buried.
