Lot 201:
1. Teshuvot Beit Hillel by Rabbi Hillel of Kolomyia. Published by Rabbi Chaim Yaakov Lichtenstein, the author’s grandson – first edition, Satmar, 1908. 58 leaves. Approbation by the Gaon Rabbi Yuda Greenwald Av Beit Din of Satmar.
On leaf 7b, an interesting response by the Admor Rabbi Yehoshua of Belz on appointing members of the Neolog Movement for public positions. His zealousness was well-known and indicated in his varied responses.
Detached sheets. Restored title page, half of which is missing. Stains. Small tears to the edges. Good overall condition.
Stamp on the leaf of the approbation: "מאיר סגל גודל שו"ב מעריאש".
2. Hitgalut Tzaddikim, by Rabbi Shlomo Gabriel Rosenthal with Divrei Torah by his father Rabbi Mordechai Zeev author of Kol HaRemez. First edition – Warsaw, 1901. 36 leaves. Originally trimmed headings and edges.
3. Two works by the Gaon Rabbi Chaim Yeshaya Hacohen Halsberg author of Misgeret Hashulchan.
I: Likutei Shoshanim, common Halachot and index of Dinei Berachot. In addition, Kuntres Hanhagat Adam by Rabbi Shlomo Zalman Av Beit Din of Warsaw and rabbi Yitzchak Av Beit Din of Vorky. Printed in Lublin, 1883. 32 leaves. Originally trimmed headings.
II: Birkat Chaim: Hanhagot by Rabbeinu Rabbi Menachem Nachum of Chernobyl and by the holy Rav Rabbi Mordechai of Chernobyl. First edition, Lublin, 1890. 32 leaves. Approbations by leading rabbis (see Hebrew catalog text). Originally trimmed headings.
Bound together. Worn binding. Stains. Except for what is detailed above – good overall condition.
On the title page, his handwritten signature (with scribbles on it) and an ownership stamp on the last leaf: "נפתלי שרגא פייבל סופר ק"ק סענטא יע"א בן הרב הגאון ר’ שמואל בנימין סופר אב"ד ק"ק דערעטשקע יע"א" – Rabbi Naftali Sheraga Feibel Sofer (passed away in 1930) the son of the Gaon Rabbi Shmuel Binyamin Sofer. Author of Devarim Sofrim on Klalei HaTalmud 3 sections, Shut and Chidushei Divrei Sofrim. Rabbi Sheraga Feibel passed away young, in his father’s lifetime, leaving only few things by him.
