Midrash Rabba on the Torah, with matnot Kehuna and Aseifat Ma’amarim, a volume with two section on Sefer Bamidbar, Sefer Devarim and Megillot Ruth, Kohelet and Eicha – Vilna, 1897. 19 cm. [2], 174, 21; [2], 40, 132 leaves. Leaves 9-16 of Bamidbar were misplaced in the binding. Moth perforations and some other blemishes. Detached leaves in the center of the book. Old, worn binding. Good overall condition. 

On the first title pages and the leaf following them, many stamps of Rabbi Aryeh Leibush Kahana, Rav and Moreh Tzedek of Apahida and additional stamps with the addition of "פה קלוזש". 

Rabbi Aryeh Leibush Kahana (1865-1943) was the great-grandson of the author of the Kuntres Hasfeikot and grandson of the Mareh Yechezkel (the first Admor of Deyzh). He studied under the Admor Ma’agalei Tzedek of Deyzh and the Admor Yitav Lev of Siget. There are many stories about him from the time he studied with his uncle, the Ma’agalei Tzedek, including that he merited Eliyahu revealing himself to him. He served as Rav of Apahida.
