Complete set of the polemic work Chemdat Yamim, a work on Minhagim and Halachot, with Tochechot Mussar based on Kabbalah. Written in a unique, clear language to excite the heart to Avodat Hashem, first printed in Izmir in 1731 by Rabbi Yisrael Yaakov Algazi (who wrote that he copied it from an old anonymous manuscript he acquired near Tzfat. The author is unknown, but the Yavetz believed that it was Nathan of Gaza, who was a follower of Shabtai Zvi, so he opposed the work).
Four sections in two volumes – Venice 1763. In the National Library, the copies appear in the Rare Book Collection. Each section contains a foreword by Rabbi Yisrael Yaakov Algazi the son of the Maharit.
1. Section I – for Sabbath. 109 leaves. Section II – for Rosh Chodesh. 128, [1] leaves.
2. Section III – for the Moadim. 96 [i.e. 97] leaves. Section IV – for Chodesh Elul and Yamin Notaim. 103 leaves.
Fine old leather spines. Fine printing on quality paper. Title pages and initial headings with red lettering. Moth damage and perforations in some places. Stable bindings. Good overall condition.
