The comprehensive work indicates the author’s talent, memory and Torah. After the introduction, tables with interesting lists: birth-death dates, the judges of Yisrael and the dates of their terms, the kings of Yisrael and dates of their terms, the prophets and their terms, the order of Anshei Knesset Hagedolah and receivers of the Torah from Moshe to Rav Ashi. The author outdid himself by introducing sub-lists such as the list of Cohanim to Tana’im, Leviyim to Tana’im, Halachic rules and many more. There are also detailed indices. It is unconceivable how such a work was created with a computer…
On the last page, a fine poem by the author: "לזמר אותו ביום תחנון בשכיבה ובקימה וביותר לאותן בני אדם ופעלים היושבים על מלאכתם ופנוים ממחשבות עמוקות ולהולכי דרכים והוא התעוררת גדול לעבודת הבורא…" beginning with שעו ממני ואבליגה בטרם אלך ואינני. There is an acrostic of his name, his city and year of printing which is apparently the year the poem was written. There are copies in which the poem was not printed and the last page remained blank. An additional fine poem by him appears on verso of the first title page.
Fine, original parchment binding. Quality paper. Tears to the edges of the first title page and several other places. Stains and partly brown paper. Good overall condition.
On leaf 12 of the second pagination, a handwritten addition of a reference that was missed by the talented author. Ex-libris "מספרי אבא בן אלעזר בורנשטיין". On the (detached) flyleaf, a pencil notation in square script: "ב ראזאוו מוהל בלאנדאן". Foreign notations on verso of the back board.
