Sefer Lechem Abirim, novellae on the tractates of the Shas: Bava Kama, Bava Meti’a, Yevamot, Ketubot and Kiddushin. By Rabbi Avraham ben Izuz known as Ben Borgel. An ancient and important work which is presented many times in Chidushei Maharsha on the Shas. 

First edition – Venice, 1605. Originally, 65, 114 leaves. In this copy, leaves 18-25 of the first pagination are missing. In the National Library, the book appears, of course, in the Rare Book Collection. A foreword by his disciple and brother-in-law Rabbi Yosef Donovish writing with reverence about the author and his work. 

Late, stable binding with a slight open tear at the top of the spine. Engraved title page – professionally restored as well as some other leaves. Stains. Good overall condition. 

Handwritten notations and comments – have not been studied. Stamps of the Sha’arei Zion synagogue at the Churvat Yehuda HaChassid.
