Sefer Hazohar, Shemot section. Published by the Rom Widow and Brothers – Vilna, 1894. Two ttile pages. [1], 278 leaves. No binding. Detached sheets. Moth perforations. Stains. Some tears. Some moth damage. Part;y wide margins. Fair overall condition.
On the title pages, stamps: "שאול משה זילבערמאן אב"ד דק"ק וויערושוב" and two handwritten signatures with this name – Rabbi Shaul Moshe Zilberman (1850-1939) was the son of Rabbi Yitzchak Isaac, he was a Rav and Rosh Yeshiva in Poland, studied under leading contemporary Chassidic rabbis including the Avnei Nezer and the Gaon of Kotna. He served in the rabbinate of a number of cities, and when he moved to Eretz Yisrael he settled in Tel Aviv and served as the Rav of the Gur Chassidim in Erezt Yisrael. He authored Chiddushei Shaul Moshe and Pardes Shaul.
His son-in-law was Rabbi Avraham Mordechai Alter, the son of Rabbi Moshe Bezalel Alter, the brother of the Admor the Imrei Emet of Ger. Eventually, this son-in-law became the father-in-law of Rabbi Pinchas Menachem Alter, the Admor of Ger author of the Pnei Menachem.
Inside the book, short comments and references on the margins of the leaves, apparently handwritten by the Rav of Viershov.
On the title pages, two types of stamps: "שלום זילבערמאן זגיערזש" and another stamp: "יעקב מאיר זילבערמאן וויערושאב" – the sons of the above Rav.
