Sefer Shnei Luchot Habrit, known as the Shelah Hakadosh by Rabbeinu the Gaon kabbalist Rabbi Yeshaya Halevi Horowitz, the holy Shelah. Two sections. Printed in Warsaw, 1862. Section I: 79; 88, [1]; 2-3, 83-102 leaves. Section II: [1], 92; 24; [1], 10, [2], 13-32 leaves. In this copy, the title page of section I is missing and only the title page of section II exists. In addition, [1], 32 leaves from the end are missing, the introduction to Sefer Vavei HaAmudim. 

Tears, creases and taping to some leaves. Some moth perforations. Rounded front board. Most of the book in good condition. 

Inside the book, stamps:   "בנימין מנחם אלטר תל אביב" –  Rabbi Binyamin Menachem Alter (passed away in 1992), the son of Rabbi Yitzchak Meir who was the son of Rabbi Moshe Bezalel Alter, the brother of the Imrei Emet. His father, Rabbi Yitzchak Meir, was the son-in-law of his uncle the Imrei Emet. Thus, the owner of this copy was the grandson of the Rebbe, who even ordered him to edit his writings and Divrei Torah. His tombstone indicates that he merited completing the mission: "זכה להשלים מלאכת הקודש ונלב"ע בשם טוב". Was the son-in-law of Rabbi Chanoch Henich Globinsky. 

Inside the book, two handwritten ancient glosses on the margins of the sheet. The glosses are earlier than the stamps. One of them is significant, dealing with the lengthy fasts of the Tana Rabbi Tzadok, who fasted to prevent the destruction of the Temple.
