Masechet Ketubot of the Bavli Talmud. The Press of Rabbi Shmuel Argelbrand, – Warsaw, 1861. A rare and special copy with an addition of leaves that do not appear in all copies and have not been seen in auctions. At the beginning of the book, a blue title-cover "tenth volumes of the Shas" and following it, an additional title page: "Approbations by Contemporary Geonim" followed by
approbations by the leading rabbis of Warsaw headed by Rabbi Yeshaya Muscat of Prague. An additional lengthy approbation by the Chidushei HaRim of Ger, and the Admor Rabbi Yaakov David of Amshinov, the son of the Admor Rabbi Yitzchak of Vorka. On the back of the book, an ending cover with an advertisement of the printing house. Two title pages for the Masechet itself. [4], 157, 24, 99, [2] leaves. The binding and leaves are all detached. Stains and varied blemishes. Fair overall condition. Fine original leather binding, blemished. Varied ownership notations – have not been studied.
