Buyer's premium:

Sefer Maginei Eretz, Shulchan Aruch Orach Chaim and its commentators. Printed in POlonne, 1821. Section I: 226 leaves. This edition was approbated by two contemporary leading Chassidic rabbis: the Admor Rabbi Avraham Yehoshua Heschel of Apta, author of the Ohev Yisrael, given in his last days, when he was living in Mezhibuzh. And an approbation by the Admor Rabbi Moshe Goldman, the founder of the Zvhil dynasty, the son of the Maggid of Zlotchov.

A rare variant: all other copies were printed leaf-by-leaf after the Polonne 1804 edition. This copy, however, is special; its first four leaves (including the title page) were reprinted with significant typographical variations and two of the pagination typos (leaf 32, 98) were corrected. On the title page: "באר היטב" (rather than הטיב). The printer’s mark was omitted and replaced by the printer’s mark of the aforementioned Polonne edition, without the printer’s name. In the approbation of the Rav of Apta, the date was changed to יום א כה טבת תקפ"א (1821 instead of תקע"ח 1818). On both dates, the 25th of Tevet was on Sabbath! possibly, the approbation was written on Motzaei Shabbat.

Mostly bluish paper. Old fabric binding, worn and loose. Stains. Focused moth damage in several places. Fair overall condition.

On the title page and last leaf, Sephardic signatures.
