The prototype of the Tanya by the Admor HaZaken, with Igeret HaTshuva and Igeret HaKodesh. “New, revised edition.” This edition was the first edited edition in many years and after many previous editions, based on various manuscripts with important additions, which received the approval of Chabad Admorim and is considered a prototype for subsequent editions. To this day, many of the editions that have since been published throughout the universe are in fact facsimiles of this edition – the Press of the Rom Widow and Brothers, Vilna, 1900. In this copy there is an additional leaf between the title pages, containing on one of its sides: "הערה.. מודעת זאת כי לא כגוים…" and on the other: "וזאת לדעת כי תיבת פרק שנדפס…" – see pictures.
Wide margins. Binding matching to the time of printing. Stains. Some tears, Good overall condition.
