Lot 38:
Sefer Divrei Chachamim Vechidotam, a unique book containing a commentary on Aggadot Chazal. By the famed printer Rabbi Zvi Hirsch Segal Spitz of Pressburg. First edition (apparently, also a single one, the facsimile edition of 1995 nit withstanding) at the printery of the above author and his son Avraham – Offenbach, 1802. 75 leaves.
An introduction by the talented author explaining the purpose of the book. In addition, a short foreword with a story about the famed explorer Christopher Columbus and a lengthy article by the author titled Ma’amar Haprozdor explaining his basic assumptions.
Stains. Some moth perforations. Old binding with a blemished leather spine. Good overall condition.
Foreign stamps indicating this copy had belonged to the library of the Seminar for Rabbis of Berlin founded by the Gaon Rabbi Dr. Azriel Hildesheimer.
