Volume with two of the many works of the Gaon Rabbi Shlomo Ephraim Luntshitz who was also known as the Kli Yakar after his book.
1. Ptichot Veshe’arim – First edition, Zholkva, 1799. [1], 48 leaves. In the National Library, the book appears in the Rare Book Collection.
2. Ir Giborim, sermons on the Torah – Zholkva, 1799. 3, 26, 21, 21, 20 leaves.
Detached bindings. Moth damage. Stains. Fair-poor overall condition/
Ownership notation on the first title page: "הק’ משה מבא"ד (מבארדטישוב)" – The holy Rav Rabbi Moshe Meir Halevi Rosenstein of Berditchev (1821-1902) Rabbi Mosheleh Berditchover, the son of Rabbi Mordechai one of the Chassidim of the holy Rav of Apta (Opatow). A leading disciple of the Saba Kaddisha of Ruzhin and his son, the Admor Hazaken of Sadigura and the Admor the Pachad Yitzchak of Boyan. In 1853, immigrated to Safed. His Divrei Torah and Sipurei Tzaddikim were published recently in Avodat Haleviyim – Or Haganuz, where his biography also appears.
On the second title page (partly hidden) and on leaf 1: "אברהם שלמה בהרש"ם" – Rabbi Avraham Shlomo Goldenbaum (1843-1917) the son of Rabbi Shalom Meir. Was a Dayan in Safed and a Sadigura Chassid. His Divrei Torah were published in the book Eshel Avraham.
